The following comments were sampled randomly from the responses received

How has your attendance at the Forum affected the way you view or perform your work role?

Contributed to boosting my positive view on the workplace. As a result I have continued to meet the expectations of my position

Inspired to believe in what I do. I particularly enjoyed the Margaret Collins workshop. Her mentoring approach to the role of DD was appreciated

The Forum allowed the opportunity to promote some of the work we are undertaking for Indigenous employees. It showcased SHR and the Women in Leadership Program.

No way at all. The forum was very teacher and school orientated, and excluded content relevant for administration staff or training staff at all levels. The diversity concept was quite narrow, focus on indigenous and women not NESB or colour etc.

Yes in giving me permission to have a voice in a variety of forums.

Yes the networking opportunities are worthwhile & have been very useful in my work.

In what ways could the Forum have been improved?

More opportunities to talk to other attendees ie after sessions, time to discuss ideas relating to a topic/area discussed etc

The process of registration & parking

Be more inclusive the world is not just about teachers and schools

* Opportunities to identify partners for future collaborative work.

* Give us exposure to new projects and ideas for use.

What one thing did you like the most about the Forum?

I thoroughly enjoyed the forum and the event inspired me to keep striving for my career goals – the one thing I liked the most was just having the opportunity to listen to people’s stories

Karl O’Kalaghan was an appreciated and intelligent leader

I really appreciated the networking opportunities and listening to some inspiring speakers like Janet Holmes a Court & Doolan Leisha Eatts. Also a personal side to the Minister and her story. I thought the inclusion of the Welcome to Country and Indigenous women represented was fantastic.

The Keynote speakers were good.

The information about how to succeed from Bruce Haddon. I have already used them to be successful at Scuba diving. That is something I couldn’t have done before his presentation.

Meeting new people – Janet Holmes à Court’s speech was very inspiring

What one thing did you like the least?

Can’t remember any

Bruce Haddon for the amount of $$$ spent on him, he wasn’t really worth it.

Lack of diversity and domination

The panel’s talk because it didn’t give me anything to take away and use.

No criticism – found everything wonderful.

Any other comments?

Thanks to all the people involved for organising an inspiring and worthwhile event.

A brilliant conference

Do you have any suggestions for speakers at future events? (please list names)

Dr Phil Ruthven – IBIS world, Jason Clark - Minds at work, John Mitchell and Associates

A clinical psychologist involved in women’s affairs

I’d like to hear some of the Department’s Executive level leaders speak and present their goals for women in our organisation.
