An upcoming PD Conference titled “Stand Up and Be Proud Pathways to a successful Career in the Public Sector” to be held in Perth on 7 June 2007.
Strategic HR and Professional Learning through the Women in Leadership Program are pleased to be sponsoring registration only for 10 Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Women employed by DET to attend this Conference.
The registration includes breakfast at 7.15 am and the all day conference. (see details below).
Who is eligible to apply? Any Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Women employed by DET at Level 1 – Level 6.
What do we need to do to apply? Speak to your line Manager to get approval to attend, and then contact Christine Ross on 9264 4571.
Registrations will be sent from SHR and Professional Learning.
What is the deadline to forward my regsitration? No later than COB Friday 25 May 2007.
What is the process for selection? Due to the popularity of this Conference and the limited numbers, applicants will be selected by a ballot. Whilst we do encourage delegates from outside Perth Metro area to attend this Conference unfortunately we are unable to pay relief costs or travel and accommodation.
Although we are sponsoring a specific group to attend it does not preclude any other DET Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander employees from attending this excellent Professional Development conference with support from your line manager. Could Managers of Aboriginal Education please forward to other Indigenous staff in your Directorates.
