Women in Leadership Program wins National AHRI award

by WiL Admin last modified 16 October 2006, 05.42PM

The Women in Leadership program was the state and national winner of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI) award for excellence in people management 2006.

The Women in Leadership program was nominated by the Department in the 2006 AHRI (Australian Human Resources Institute) Awards for Excellence in People Management.

At the Human Resources Week dinner, held on 4 September, the program was announced as the state winner in its category and progressed to the national level. On Thursday 5 October, at the AHRI dinner in Sydney, the Women in Leadership program was announced as the national winner in its category.

We are delighted with this recognition, at a national level, of our work and of the support of the Department and its employees, which has made such a significant contribution to the program's success.

It is also well-deserved acknowledgement of the extensive research and creative thinking of Maryanne Coombs, who led the program’s conceptualisation and implementation.
