Biography: Pamela Paton

Pamela has worked in State education since 1968 as a primary teacher (Wagin DHS, Victoria Park PS and Latham PS) and as a Deputy Principal and Principal (Southwell PS). Her substantive position is Manager – Leadership at the Fremantle/Peel Education District, a position she has held for five years. Other roles Pamela has held include Language K-12 School Development Officer, PSP Coordinator, PSP Leading Language teacher, presenter for the EDWA School Leadership Program and the Performance Management Policy, WALNA Data Club, and Senior Consultant in Schools Division, EDWA.

Pamela has considerable experience in curriculum and leadership, having co-authored curriculum materials for First Steps, presented many curriculum based topics in WA and overseas, co-authored book chapters and articles, and presented school leadership topics here and overseas. She has a Bachelor and Masters of Education. Pamela has twice been on teacher exchange to Canada. In 2002/2003 she was awarded an inaugural Curtin University/IPAA Fellowship. Most recently Pamela has been at Murdoch University completing research into Small Schools' Leadership.
