Mentor and Work-shadowing Scheme

by WiL Admin last modified 18 August 2005, 02.44PM

The mentor and work-shadowing scheme is designed as a pilot project for the program. This component will take place over six months following the completion of all the workshop component of the program. It aims to give participants an on-going focus and support to implement the learning goals they developed throughout the course.

The scheme is made up of three pilot projects. The aim of the pilot is to ascertain the most valuable process for developing leadership skills and aspirations for program participants.

Whilst Project 1 matches a number of aspirants with male mentors, Project 2 matches the same number of aspirants with female mentors. Project 3 matches a number of aspirants with a small group of female mentors in a collegiate mentoring network.

All aspirants in the program spend up to three days work-shadowing their mentor during the six month period.
