Scholarships

by WiL Admin last modified 17 August 2005, 05.31PM

The Department acknowledges that the capacity to improve organisational performance is strengthened through a workforce that values and pursues professional learning opportunities. This is particularly relevant to an organisation in which the ability of individuals to learn, adapt and change are key aspects of their professional work.

Each year the DET Academic Scholarship Program provides funding to enable staff to pursue post-graduate study at Masters and Doctoral levels. Scholarships are awarded through an application process.

DET staff who have completed their post graduate studies with the assistance of the DET Academic Scholarship Program are invited to submit an extract of their studies for perusal by other staff. Scholarship Profiles

Eligibility to apply for a scholarship is available to all permanent Departmental employees who are full-time or part-time (0.4 and above).

Staff are also encouraged to engage in professional learning opportunities offered by scholarship and fellowship organisations outside the DET system such as Churchill Fellowships and Westfield Scholarships.
